where should i work to gain experience for becoming a registered nurse I'm in cincinnati

You have to have a certificate to be a nurses aide now. You can't just go into a medical facility and go to work anymore. Your best bet is to get into a college that teaches nursing and go from there. That way, you will get to skip all the other aspects of health care and jump right into nursing.

I agree, you should jump in to nursing immediately if that is your goal. You will have clinical hours while in school that will give you the on-the-job experience you need to start. I took classes for nursing assistant, phlebotomist and ECG tech before starting nursing school. I learned a lot, but feel it just wasted my time as I re-learned all of it again after starting nursing school. Good luck to you.
